The Pinky Promise Bag

One Thimble #19 is out! And that means that I have something to show you from this great digital sewing magazine. This issue is packed full with PDF patterns, articles and tips you will love!

Today I am part of the official One Thimble issue 19 blog tour. I was given the chance to pick one or two PDF patterns from this issue. The first I picked was the Pinky Promise Bag. Once and a while I get to make a bag and I love it! It's a good change from garment sewing. The second pattern I got to make was the Playtime dress, a super quick & easy sew that you will get to see later this week.

Pattern
The Pinky Promise Bag, pattern by Little Moo Designs for One Thimble #19.

Fabric:
- Striped twill from my local fabric shop,
- Tapestry Violet, quilting cotton, by Riffle Paper Co. Menagerie collection for Cotton + Steel.

Sewing details:
I am in love with this cute little bag! My girls are disputing who will get to keep it but in all honesty I think this one is going to be mine (all mine! Insert evil laugh here, haha). It is quite small for a mom's bag but I am all about small bags these days and this one is big enough to carry all the absolute necessary items. (Finished size: 8” (20 cm) Wide x 7” (17cm) High x 2.5” (6cm) Deep (at the base)).

This bag includes an internal slip pocket , a cross body strap, and an optional side eyelet for headphones and a removable lip gloss holder. (I skipped these two last options.)

This pattern is geared towards the Advanced Beginner. If you never made a bag before I totally recommend this pattern. It's quite easy and the end result is really satisfying. I will definitely be making more!
