Once Upon a Pixel Mini Quilt

It's no news I have a (huge) thing for sewing books. I tend to hoard them almost like I hoard fabric. And buttons. :) Today I am sharing a mini quilt project I made inspired by a new book, the Once Upon a Pixel by Sugaridoo and Studio Koekoek. This book presents over 20 quilt projects, cross stitch patterns and pixel crochet designs inspired by "once upon a time" princess & fairy tales. Perfect for kids' spaces and for handmade gifts! 

A New Lion Friend From The Urban Jungle Animal Doll Pattern Collection

Welcome to the jungle! Well, for now I have only made this lion but I already have several requests from all the kids (and hubby!) to make several other animal soft toys from this a.m.a.z.i.n.g collection of soft toys patterns! 

Today I am sharing this lion doll I made for my little one. I made it while testing this pattern for Petit a Petit and it was supposed to be a Christmas gift but...I couldn't wait to give it to him! Can you tell how much he loves it? <3 He is all hugs and kisses, it's so fun to watch!

FEELING OVERWHELMED? HERE'S HOW TO DEAL WITH BLACK FRIDAY SALES...

Are you hyperventilating already? :) A list this long can be overwhelming, right?... 

I think the secret is adding things to a wishlist during the year and then when Black Friday sales come you go shop for the things you already know you need/want, otherwise you will spend hours or even days just going through this list and trying to decide what to pick. But, on the other hand, if you do have the time to go through the whole list I am sure you will find new-to-you pattern designers/brands that you will love!! (It happens to me every year while I'm compiling this list!)

Give Piece a Chance Skirt & Top

One Thimble issue 17 is out today! I can't say enough good things about this digital sewing magazine... So many articles, tips and patterns!

I had the chance to sew one of the patterns (actually is a 2-in-1) before its release. It's the Give Peace a Chance Skirt & Crop Top, although, as you may have noticed already, I hacked the top to make it not cropped since fall has already arrived here in the upper hemisphere. (You can read all about how to make this modification below.)

A Geranium Dress
