Hi lovely readers! If you think you have seen all possible takes and inspirations regarding Alice in Wonderland's books think again. Today is day 6 (and still two more days to go - yes we are having an extra day!) and you can marvel yourself with three more amazing creations! I am loving all the subtle takes on this theme as much as all the obvious ones! So much creativity!
Maartje from Huisje Boompje Boefjes blog made a fun outfit perfect for the every day inspired by the White Rabbit, with some of my favorite PDF patterns!
Maartje is a fellow European sewing blogger that lives in one of my favorite cities of the world - Amsterdam (The Netherlands). We ran into each other on a few pattern testing groups and that is when I started to follow her. I really love her practical and modern style. She makes super cute things for her two boys - if you need inspiration for boy's sewing this blog is one of them most perfect places to be inspired - and also for herself, and she was recently a contributor for Stylo magazine with a wonderful spread.
Jump to Maartjes's blog for more details on the patterns and fabric, and her inspiration!
How fun is this photo? :)
Michelle from Falafel and The Bee recreated one of her childhood's dresses for her daughter. I bet there were many hours of work and many meters of lace put into that piece of sewing art... It is absolutely stunning!
I love to follow Michelle's blog. I always love when a blog is not just about sewing (which reminds me that I should go back to it too... It seems that these days all I do is... sewing... but I can assure you that I have a whole life besides that. :) ). She shares lots of sewing tutorials and amazing creations, but you can also find family posts, gluten-free recipes and beautiful photography. I was amazed with this recent post of her gorgeous teen daughter in a stunning vintage sewing dress...
Now, go to Falafel and the Bee to read everything about that dress!
Last today, but not certainly the least, we have my blogging friend Jennifer from A Jennuine Life blog. She used a Japanese pattern for this Alice inspired dress because she knows how much I love Japanese patterns (that was too sweet of you, thank you!) and it turned out a super lovely dress!
Jennifer is a pattern designer and I got to meet her when I tested her first pattern (you can see it here). She owns the Jennuine Design Pattern shop where you can find all the lovely patterns she has designed and turned into PDF since then. I can say her patterns are some of the best out there. Well written, well illustrated, good sewing techniques. Jennifer aims to be thorough and perfect in her patterns and that really shows.
Jennifer has so generously offered three of her patterns for the amazing giveaway below! So don't forget to scroll down and enter for a chance to win!
Hop to A Jennuine Life to read all about this sweet dress inspired by Alice in Wonderland!

This is a fun series, Sara! I am enjoying seeing what everyone makes. Thanks for hosting and coming up with the idea. I had no idea it was the150th for Alice, but I recently made a playsuit for my daughter from Kokka Alice in Wonderland double gauze, so she is joining in the celebration anyway! Looking forward to the next couple posts.
