Hi! Today I am sharing with you the Penny Vintage dress which is one the amazing patterns from the BundleUP - Girls edition!
The BundleUP includes 11 new patterns you can choose from to make your own bundle at a great price. Read more about it here!
I was given the chance to try the Penny Vintage pattern, which includes in fact two patterns - a dress and a spring coat! I have opted to sew up the dress and I am in love...
I have already had the chance to use one of Ellie Inspired patterns - the Sugar Plum sweater - and I knew I wouldn't be disappointed with this one. The pattern fits perfectly and the instructions are wonderful. Laura guides you through all the steps with lots of detail. It feels like having a sewing lesson.
I have used a neoprene like knit for this dress. It is very light-weighted so the skirt could be gathered easily. The ruffled collar was left with a raw edge because it would look too bulky otherwise...
I had this fabric on my stash for some time and I was saving it to make something for me, but I couldn't resist using it for this dress. I think it was the perfect choice. She loved it!
I had to layer it with a sweatshirt (from Zara) since it is too cold these days for a sleeveless dress, so you can use this pattern all year around.
This pattern comes in sizes 1 to 16! The dress can be made with a knit bodice and a drop-waist skirt in either knit or woven. It features an optional ruffled collar.
The coat is also super cute! It is fully lined and it features a peter pan collar, gathered sleeve caps and a gathered skirt with ruffle at hem.
I have had the chance to sew two more patterns from this bundle and I will showing them this weekend. So stay tuned! They are amazing!
Make sure to check all the great patterns on the BundleUP! It ends this Monday, Feb. 2nd! Hurry up!
Happy Sewing!
